Wendi A. Clouse, Ph.D., serves as the Chief Enrollment Strategist (CES) for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). As a senior member of the Enrollment Management Team, Dr. Clouse develops, implements, and manages strategy, policy, and business processes to foster sustainable enrollment health and student success across the institution.
Wendi joined the UCCS Team in 2004. In her time as a Mountain Lion, she has worked in faculty records, supported two Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools accreditation visits, and was an integral part of the Office of Institutional Research where she sharpened her measurement, evaluation, and policy analysis proficiencies. In 2021, she was fortunate to join the Enrollment Management Team to provide strategic planning support, metric development, enrollment forecasting, and technical expertise.
Dr. Clouse is a three-time alumna of the university where she earned her baccalaureate degree as a non-traditional student as well as Masters’ Degrees in both Public Administration and Applied Geography.
In 2012, she earned a Ph.D. from the UCCS College of Education in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy.
Wendi is a life-long learner. Coming from a non-traditional background, she is a vocal supporter of student-centered education, educational access, and equity. Her research agenda reflects her commitment to student belonging, access, and equity. Because of her history and long-standing relationship with the institution, she has an extensive understanding of our students ‘experiences. As a fifth-generation Colorado native, with strong family ties up and down the Front Range, she is in a unique position to understand both the opportunities and challenges that UCCS will experience over the next decade.
