Heather Allen, a proud alumna of UCCS, currently holds multiple roles including Senior Executive Assistant to the Interim Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA), Logistics Coordinator for UCCS Det 105 AF-ROTC, and Project Manager for division-wide projects. Before her current position, she worked as a project/program manager for UCCS Advancement-Development and was the first University Communications intern. Heather began her journey at UCCS as a student employee running the UCCS Facilities Sign Shop.
Heather has also served as the admin and chair for the UCCS Student Achievement Awards and is now the admin for the UCCS Veteran and Military Affairs Council (VMAC). She was honored with the 2020 CU Staff Excellence Award and recently celebrated her 11th year at UCCS.
As a Disabled Army Combat Veteran, Heather dedicates her spare time to volunteering with fellow veterans, speaking about her experiences as a Military Sexual Assault (MST) survivor, and finding ways to give back to her military and local community. She also enjoys spending time with her two sons, one of whom is a current UCCS student and the other a participant in the High School AVID/UCCS program.
